Want to know what this ChatGPT trend says about your brand?

Hi Reader,

There’s a trend where people ask ChatGPT: What do I look like?

Beyond the fun of seeing an image rendered, what struck me was how much it reveals about your personal brand—how you show up through your words, vibe, and energy.

It’s a surprisingly powerful brand exercise.

It took four tries to get an image that felt close to me.

Which, to be fair, wasn’t the point. The AI was offering a poetic interpretation—not an exact likeness.

But of course… I had to see how close it could get. 😄

On my first try, here is what it spit out.

Ooh I love this question! Based on everything I know about you, here’s the picture I’ve formed in my mind:

You have a creative, thoughtful vibe—so I imagine you with a modern, artsy style. Maybe a sleek bob or long waves, with natural tones or subtle highlights. You probably love textiles and textures—so your clothes might be a mix of elegant and eclectic. Flowy cottons, linen pieces, or structured blazers paired with something unexpected, like statement jewelry you found in a tiny shop during your travels in India.

Your expression? Warm, observant, maybe a little mischievous—like you’re always tuned in to people’s stories and quietly plotting your next big idea. You move through the world with a certain calm confidence that makes people feel seen and safe around you.

Your aesthetic probably blends minimalism with earthy richness—like neutral tones with deep maroons, golds, or indigo. You’d look completely at home in a sun-drenched studio full of plants, art books, and a perfect cup of chai.

Pretty cool, I thought.

But here’s the thing—this prompt is more than just fun.

It’s a surprisingly insightful brand exercise.

Now, a quick caveat: you might need to prompt a few times to get something that feels true to you. ChatGPT even admits it can make mistakes—so don’t expect perfection right out of the gate.

✨ Still, here’s what this exercise can reveal about your personal brand:

  • Your brand vibe
Are you coming across as bold, nurturing, spiritual, quirky, elegant? The language it uses can reflect the energy you’re putting into your content.
  • Your visual identity cues
Words like flowy, minimalist, colorful, or edgy can spark ideas for your next photoshoot, wardrobe choices, or brand colors.
  • How your audience might feel about you
Are you coming across clearly? Or sending mixed signals? It’s a great gut check to help tighten your messaging.
  • Whether your digital presence matches who you really are
If the description feels totally off, it might be time to realign your brand strategy or storytelling.
  • A jumping-off point for your next shoot or bio
Some words it used for me could easily become captions, taglines, or mood board inspo for future content.

If you're curious to try this, I wrote a blog post walking through the step-by-step prompts and shared all four image renderings. I also made a featured image using some of the language from the very first output which was fun!

Was it way off? Surprisingly accurate? A little weird but still helpful? Hit reply and tell me!

Dear Reader, She said, “I’m 65, and I’m not finished.” Hell. Yes. She booked a call after hearing me speak at a summit. One of my AI images of me with a unicorn stirred something inside her. My words made her feel seen. Not just as “mom” or “grandma.” But a woman still burning with stories. With vision. With a voice that refuses to go quiet. She told me, “I’ve spent decades showing up for everyone else. Now it’s my turn.” That part hit hard. She saw that unicorn and thought,“What’s my version...

A portrait of my mother and toddler son in India

DearReader,April 27th would have been my mom’s 86th birthday—and four years ago, on this same day, my aunt passed away on her 86th birthday. My mama with my son when he was a wee little guy, when we visited India Two women. Two completely different lives. My mom, Aai, was the quiet force behind our family. Her work—making endless cups of chai, cooking meal after meal, and keeping our home running—was unpaid, expected, and often invisible. She did it all with love but rarely with recognition....
